San Mateo, California-headquartered Franklin follows in the footsteps of other asset managers such as Aberdeen Asset Management, Nomura Asset Management, BNP Paribas Asset Management and Credit Agricole Asset Management. "Malaysia has a maturing economy, an established investment management market and expertise in Islamic finance, making it a key market on our radar screen as we expand our business in the region," the article quoted Franklin's managing director for Asia, Mark Browning, as saying.
