Wednesday, January 14, 2009 Columbia Keeps its Name It looks like the Columbia Management brand will survive the aftermath of Bank of America's acquisition of Merrill Lynch. Bloomberg's David Mildenberg reports that, while other parts of BofA are changing their brands, Columbia will keep its own name. Bloomberg cites an internal BofA memo that says that the combined company's brokerage unit will be called Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and that the combined corporate and investment bank will be known as Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Meanwhile, money management arm U.S. Trust will also keep its individual brand. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=20456 Copyright 2009, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
