Monday, September 29, 2008 WSJ Puts a Face on Reserve Investors' Pain In Monday's Wall Street Journal, Shefali Anand talks to an investor who can't withdraw his much needed cash from the Reserve Yield Plus. Al DiTullio, a 40-year old widower who happens to also unfortunately be a real-estate broker, tells Anand that he has been unable to access the $51,000 in saving he has at the fund. After The Reserve's Primary Fund broke the buck, the firm halted redemptions for some of its other funds as well. DiTullio tells Anand that he has been forced to wait more than the previously announced seven-day waiting period and is not sure when he will receive his money.
