Friday, August 15, 2008 WSJ Spotlights Top ETF Performers The Wall Street Journal's John Spence devoted Friday's Fund Track column on the top ETF and ETN performers during the month ended August 13. Spence notes that short-oil funds and ETFs tracking financial and home-builder sectors -- two weak sectors for the first half of the year -- have been among the top performers amid the correction in commodity prices. Spence mentioned five PowerShares products that have gone up by at least 30 percent over the past month, including PowerShares DB Crude Oil Double Short ETN and PowerShares DB Agriculture Double Short ETN.
