Thursday, March 27, 2008 Janus Could Give Executives the Option of a Bigger Payout Janus wants to up its executive compensation, but they'll still make less than A-Rod. In a filing with the SEC, dated March 26, 2008, the company asked shareholders to approve a new compensation plan that would raise the maximum amount payable to any executive from $15 million to $25 million. Janus also put in a clause for added performance criteria for executives including: earnings, EBITDA, improvements in productivity and objective operating goals.
Shareholders are set to vote Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the at the JW Marriott in Denver, Colorado. Janus recently changed its compensation structure for portfolio managers, tying their compensation more tightly to the company's overall business model.
