Federated Names Western Regional Sales Manager


Pittsburgh-based Federated Investors has promoted a longtime employee to vice president and western regional sales manager. Thomas Schinabeck has been with the company since 1990. Before becoming the western regional sales manager, he was a senior sales representative.

Federated Investors, Inc. (NYSE: FII), one of the nation's largest investment managers, today announced the appointment of Thomas S. Schinabeck as vice president and western regional sales manager. The announcement was made by Colin B. Starks, senior vice president and national sales director of the firm’s broker/dealer sales division.

In his new role, Schinabeck will provide leadership to a team of 10 sales representatives in the western region as they call on broker/dealer clients in 20 states.

Schinabeck joined Federated as a marketing representative in June 1990. Before becoming the western regional sales manager, he served as vice president and senior sales representative. He had previously served in several sales roles during his time at Federated.

Schinabeck earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. He is a chartered financial analyst and a multiple award winner in sales. He currently resides in Poulsbo, Wash.
