Thursday, January 17, 2008 Fink Trumpets Best Year Ever for BlackRock Larry Fink is very satisfied with the year end results of BlackRock's mutual fund complex. "This is the best quarter ever (for BlackRock) in equity flows," Fink said in an earnings call Thursday morning. "We have made huge progress in brand recognition (for BlackRock's funds)," he added. Fink also said that BlackRock has a huge M&A opportunity in 2008. He said that BlackRock would be interested in targets that would increase the company's global presence.
