Monday, December 17, 2007 McColgan Lands a Post-Fido Gig Fidelity has seen a string of high-level departures this year, including those of widely considered possible Ned Johnson successors Bob Reynolds and Ellyn McColgan. There's still no word on Reynolds' whereabouts but as for McColgan, she has taken a job as president and chief operating officer of Morgan Stanley. McColgan, 53, will step into the job in April, succeeding James Gorman, who was promoted co-president of the New York firm late last month. McColgan will report to Gorman. McColgan, who left Fidelity in August, had spent 17 years at the Boston Behemoth, most recently as president of distribution and operations.
