Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Morningstar Makes a Disclosure Wish List All Morningstar wants for Christmas is a little respect, for its investors that is. Christine Benz has penned a wish list of five mutual fund disclosures Morningstar would like to see fund companies to make. Topping the list is a statement in plain English of what the fund's foreign currency positioning is as of the end of the reporting period. This is followed by; putting thyself in one of three tax groups depending on what strategy the fund employs with capital gains taxes; providing better turnover rate reporting; adding brokerage charges to the expense ratio; and improving disclosure about fund manager compensation and board contract review.
