Pyramis Adds Five New Members

Pyramis Global Advisors, Fidelity's institutional money management unit, has named five new members to its equity trading and operations team. Ian Baker has joined the team as vice president, derivatives and risk management; Scott Lysko as senior trader; Eric Yi as senior trader; Nichole Theroux as vice president, trading operations manager; and Roseann McDermott as trader.

Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments company, has named five industry professionals to its equity trading and operations team. Ian Baker, vice president, Derivatives and Risk Management; Scott Lysko, senior trader; Eric Yi, senior trader; Nichole Theroux, vice president, Trading Operations manager; and Roseann McDermott, trader; join Michael McCauley, head of trading. Mike joined Pyramis in December 2005 to build the trading operations in support of Pyramis’s investment activities. The new team members join Pyramis as the institutional investment manager enhances its own trading capabilities, while continuing to develop and introduce new investment strategies.

“These talented and experienced professionals will be critical to the success of Pyramis’s institutional investment platform and trading operations as we continue to execute the phased migration of portfolios to our trading desk over the next several months,” said Young Chin, chief investment officer, Pyramis Global Advisors. “The breath of knowledge that Ian, Scott, Eric, Nichole and Roseann possess adds a key dimension to our plans as we develop and launch new long/short strategies and other products for the institutional investment marketplace.”
