The PIMCO Foundation, the charitable arm of the Newport Beach-based fixed income management firm PIMCO, today announced it has awarded over $1.1 million in 2007 grants to 68 charities and community organizations, as well as another $200,000 in gifts outside of the grants program. Acacia Adult Day Services: $50,000 Achievement Institute of Scientific Studies (AISS): $50,000 Orange County Advocacy, Respect and Commitment (ARC): $100,000 The PIMCO Foundation also announced that their window for accepting grant applications for next year will open on May 15th and will close on July 15th. In addition, starting next year, the Foundation will solicit grant applications from qualified organizations outside of Orange County. Grant applications for 2008 will be available starting April 2008 at www.pimco.com. The PIMCO Foundation was established in 2000.
