Alas, time has passed and the unity that once reigned at the SEC is now a thing of the past. The Times' Jonathan Peterson writes that the "backlog of enforcement cases and unresolved policy issues affecting hedge funds and mutual fund governance" have raised questions about Cox's ability to reach a consensus.
