American Century Mixes it Up with Expense Ratios

American Century is re-vamping the expense ratios on the Advisor share class of its funds. In a filing with the SEC, the company said that its shareholders had approved a 25 bps decrease in the 12b-1 fee required by its Advisor class shares and a corresponding increase of 25 bps in the management fee of the share class.

This leaves the fee for the Advisor share class holding steady at 82 bps. The filing explains the move as necessary to get the funds on record-keeping platforms and increase distribution through financial intermediaries.
