Wednesday, October 10, 2007 Trial of Former Janus Employees Begins The trial for three former Janus employees charged with allowing a brokerage firm to make excessive trades at the expense of long-term investors, began this Tuesday. The Rocky Mountain News reports that Warren Lammert, Lars Soderberg and Lance Newcomb are accused of allowing brokerage firm Trautman Wasserman along with others to engage in excessive trading. Lawyers for the three began their opening statements by asking why, if according to the accused, everyone at Janus was knew of the trading deals, the three men had been singled out for prosecution.
