Richard Begun, 42, has joined Olstein Capital Management, L.P. as Senior Vice President and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Olstein All Cap Value Fund. Begun succeeds Sean Reidy.

Previously, Begun was Principal, Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst at Clay Finlay, a global equity management firm. Prior to that, Begun served as Managing Director with Horizon Asset Management, Equity Portfolio Manager & Vice President of the Orbitex Group of Funds, Institutional Equity Portfolio Manager at The Bank of New York, Associate Consultant at Evaluation Associates, and Senior Corporate Financial Analyst at Marsh & McClennan Companies.

“Richard’s 18 years of portfolio management experience in identifying undervalued securities adds talent, experience and new insight to our portfolio management team,” said Robert A. Olstein, CEO & CIO of Olstein Capital Management, L.P. Begun holds an M.B.A from Baruch College, an M.A. in Economics from Brooklyn College and a B.S. in Economics from Binghamton University.

The Olstein All Cap Value Fund seeks to invest in a diversified portfolio of under-valued equity securities. The investment philosophy emphasizes a detailed look behind the numbers of a company’s financial statement to assess the company’s financial strength and potential downside risk before considering a stock’s potential for capital appreciation.
