SEC Zeroing in on Fund Pricing


The SEC is becoming increasingly interested in how mutual funds value their holding amid recent market volatility. The WSJ reports that according to Douglas Scheidt of the SEC's investment management division, funds may be using outdated or unrealistic prices to value their holdings. The SEC worries this may open the door to market timers.
