Thursday, August 30, 2007 Money-Fund Assets Climb Higher Yet Recent market volatility caused money-fund assets to continue to climb last week. The Wall Street Journal reports that investors contributed an additional $3.18 billion in the week ended Tuesday, bringing the total assets to a record $2.723 trillion, according to the Money Fund Report, published by iMoneyNet Inc. The inflows came from institutional investors, who contributed $4.20 billion. This offset the $1.02 billion withdrawn by retail investors.
