Wednesday, August 15, 2007 Another Day of Decline for Fund Stocks In a late day sell off today the Dow slid to a loss of 167 points, taking most fund company stocks down with it. Three fund company stocks did manage to eke out a gain, though. Shares of Nuveen closed 0.76 percent up, while those of Hennessy were up 0.42 percent and Cohen & Steers, up 2.1 percent. Losing 4 percent or more today were U.S. Global investors, down 5.6 percent; Calamos Investments, down 5 percent; Eaton Vance, down 4.6 percent and AllianceBernstein, down 4 percent.
