Wednesday, June 20, 2007 The Winning NASD-NYSE Combo Name is.. The combined NYSE-NASD regulatory organization has chosen a name and as expected it's not Vanguard or SIFMA as Mary Schapiro told the crowd at last month's ICI conference. The new SRO will be called the Securities Industry Regulatory Authority, or SIRA. The WSJ reports that the deal is expected to be finalized in the next few weeks.
