Monday, May 7, 2007 Evergreen Finds Compliance with Guerin Robert J. Guerin is the new chief compliance officer at Evergreen Investments. He will replace James Angelos, who will retire on June 30, 2007. Guerin joins Evergreen from Babson Capital Management, where he served as senior compliance officer overseeing and managing the investment advisor and broker-dealer compliance programs. Evergreen Investments is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert J. Guerin as chief compliance officer for the Evergreen Funds. Guerin succeeds James Angelos, who -- effective June 30, 2007 -- will retire after over 10 years with the firm. Angelos and Guerin will work closely together over the next two months to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities, which includes the development, implementation, and measurement of all compliance programs for the Evergreen Funds. Guerin will report directly to the Evergreen Board of Trustees. Guerin most recently held a position at Babson Capital Management, where he served as senior compliance officer overseeing and managing the investment advisor and broker-dealer compliance programs. From 2002 to 2005, he was director of compliance and risk management with State Street Global Advisors. Previously, Guerin spent seven years as manager of sales practice compliance at Deutsche Asset Management. "I look forward to the opportunity to leverage the experience I have gained over my career in applying compliance best practices and ensuring that the interest of the Board of Trustees, and Evergreen Investments, continues to be aligned with shareholders," said Guerin. Guerin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Assumption College and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University School of Law.
