Monday, November 26, 2001 Web Platform from FundQuest Boston, Massachusetts-based FundQuest, a company that develops web-based software for financial institutions, is offering new tools for its client base, Joanna Flynn, marketing manager at the firm, told the MutualFundWire.com. The new service is designed to help clients sell their investment programs through individual reps. The main audience for FundQuest's platform are those firms with a large number of reps and extensive offerings that include a number of different product lines. "We build fee-based investment platforms for insurance companies, banks, and other similar firms in the financial services space. We brand it under the client's name. It helps them sell their investment programs." The firm's service includes an integrated mutual fund and separate accounts program. It also contains a variable annuity offering that can be incorporated into any of the mutual fund or separate account programs. Flynn also contends that the offering can help the broker/dealer get a complete picture of an individual's investment universe including taxable and tax-deferred assets. The broker/dealers can drill down to as specific information as they need. The system includes a site for necessary forms and can help generate documents. There is also an online questionnaire to help the rep obtain important information about the investor such as risk tolerance.
