West Coast Advice Firm Debuts Retirement Income Tool

Retirement income has become such a major buzzword these days, so much so that even retail-focused advice firms are seeking a slice of the pie. AdviceAmerica has introduced a solution designed to help advisors craft a distribution strategy for clients.

The Fremont, California-based provider of financial planning software is the same firm that inked a deal with Yahoo! Inc. in 2001 to offer its Finance Planner product as part of the Web portal's Money Manager on Yahoo! service.

The newly launched retirement income product, AdvisorVision Retirement Income Edition, would enable advisors to come up with customized plans for clients in as little as 15 minutes, according to a news release on Tuesday. It takes into account changes in factors including savings and cash flow, expenses, income, annuities and life insurance, among others.

"Financial services firms must arm their advisors with tools that offer retirement income and distribution advice and, ultimately, increase retirement asset consolidation and retention, customer satisfaction and new business," said Purna Pareek, founder and chief executive of AdviceAmerica, in the news release.

The Web-based solution is fully integrated, linked to multiple custodians, aggregators and market data sources.
