Wednesday, July 19, 2006 OppFunds Adds Two More Munis OppenheimerFunds is expanding its roster of muni funds for investors. The fund arm of insurer MassMutual unveiled funds aimed at investors in Massachusetts and Virginia on Tuesday. Both funds are part of the Oppenheimer Rochester series of funds. The funds will double the number of state specific municipal funds offered by the New York City-based fund firm. Last month OppenheimerFunds launched funds for Ohio and Michigan investors. The two new funds are the Oppenheimer Rochester Massachusetts Municipal Fund and Oppenheimer Rochester Virginia Municipal Fund. Ron Fielding will act as the lead portfolio manager for the Massachusetts Fund while Daniel Loughran takes the same role for the Virginia Fund. Loughran joined OppenheimerFunds in January 1996 when the fund firm purchased The Rochester Funds, which now comprises the firm's Rochester division.
