Ariel Funds Converts to Access Data

Pittsburgh-based Access Data has converted Ariel Capital Management onto its SalesVision platform. The Chicago-based fund firm will use the system to track sales for its Ariel Mutual Funds.

Anita Zagrodnik, chief compliance officer for Ariel Mutual Funds, said that the tool will be used as part of its analysis and monitoring solution for Rule 22c-2 compliance. Ariel is integrating the tools into its existing CRM system to improve its sales and asset reporting and to calculate wholesaler compensation.

For compliance, the platform be used to generate aggregate detailed shareholder data from multiple financial intermediary platforms, improve enterprise sales and asset reporting and query capability across all product lines and distribution channels, as well as monitor detailed trading activity in order to detect trading irregularities.
