Tuesday, May 9, 2006 Janus CEO Purchases 75,000 Shares In a show of confidence in the future of Janus Capital Group, chief executive officer Gary Black purchased close to $1.5 million worth of the company's stock last week. Black acquired 75,000 shares in the open market on May 5 at a price of $19.75 per share, according to a regulatory filing on Monday. "This was an open-market transaction, and clearly reflects Mr. Black's confidence in the firm," Shelley Peterson, a spokesperson for the Denver-based fund firm, told the Associated Press.
