Tuesday, March 7, 2006 Brazos Capital Names New MD Brazos Capital Management, the Dallas investment advisor and manager to the Brazos Mutual Funds, has a new managing director. The fund firm tapped Peter Kris, previously managing director at Van Wagoner Capital Management in San Francisco, who will head up the company’s efforts to expand distribution of the Brazos family of mutual funds. These include Brazos Micro Cap, Brazos Small Cap, Brazos Mid Cap, and Brazos Growth funds. Kris will report to the president of Brazos Capital, Ben Bell. Brazos Capital was known as John McStay Investment Counsel (JMIC) until January 2005. Kris spent the last ten years at Van Wagoner, where he had responsibility for strategy development, distribution, marketing, and sales for the firm and its family of funds. Information on Kris’s successor at Van Wagoner could not be obtained immediately. Before joining Van Wagoner, Peter Kris spent five years with Govett Financial Services in London and San Francisco.
