SEI Taps Money Manager Head


SEI has named a new head for its money manager business unit. Stephen Meyer, currently managing director for the unit will take over for Wayne Withrow. Meyer's promotion was made as part of a series of leadership changes at SEI.

Withrow will move to head SEI's Investment Advisors segment were he takes over from Carl Guarino who has said he will leave SEI in the second quarter of 2006 to "pursue entrepreneurial opportunities." In the meantime, Guarino will help develop SEI's wealth network, said Alfred West, SEI's chairman and CEO.

Meyer has been managing director for the money manager unit since 2000. Prior to that, he was head of Global Fund Services before heading up the company's Alternative Investment Managers business from 1998 to 2000.
