Tuesday, November 8, 2005 Northern Trust Hires Principal Equity Manager Northern Trust has tapped Christopher Guinther as senior portfolio manager for the active growth equity management group. Guinther joins the firm from Principal Financial were he was a small cap growth portfolio manager. He was also the co-manager for Banc One Investment Advisors small cap growth mutual fund. Guinther will report to John Cole, head of the active growth equity area at Northern Trust. Cole said that Guinther was hired as part of an effort to build a "stable, strong, high-quality investment team to serve our clients" and for his mutual fund management experience.
