Tuesday, November 1, 2005 W&R Files for Energy Fund Waddell & Reed has filed for an energy fund for launch in 2006. The Waddell & Reed Advisors Energy Fund will invest at least 80 percent assets in companies engaged in exploration, discovery, distribution or infrastructure of energy and/or alternative energy. Class A shares of the fund are 164 basis points, Class B and C shares are 240 basis points and Class Y shares are 152 basis points. David P. Ginther, a portfolio manager with Ivy Investment Company and Waddell & Reed Investment Management Company, will manage the fund.
