Tuesday, November 1, 2005 Vanguard ups Minimums Vanguard has raised the minimum investment amount to open an IRA or a Uniform Gift or Transfer to Minor account from $1,000 to $3,000. Vanguard's general account minimums remain at $3,000. Vanguard Education Savings Account minimum has increased to $2,000 from $1,000.
