New Engemann Targets HNW Investors with Funds


Engemann Asset Management has tapped a new senior vice president to oversee its wealth advisory business. Olivier F. Cornet has joined the subsidiary of Phoenix Investment Partners and will be responsible for building and managing relationships with high-net-worth clients. Cornet joined Engemann from Northern Trust.

Cornet will report to Malcolm Axon, chief financial officer and manager of the private client group of Engemann Asset Management.

Gretchen Lash, president, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Engemann Asset Management explained that the hire is part of Phoenix's strategy to broaden relationships with new advisors and diversify distribution channels for the firm's mutual fund and managed account offerings.

Prior to joining Engemann, Cornet was vice president, wealth strategist with Northern Trust where he advised high-net-worth individuals and families in developing and implementing customized asset allocation programs.
