Fidelity Says Love Me Do

Fidelity Investments has landed ex-Beatle Paul McCartney for a national television campaign beginning on Thursday night, according to a press release.

McCartney will star in an ad titled "This is Paul," that traces through McCartney's lifetime. The ad will air during the first half of Monday Night Football during tonight's Oakland Raiders versus New England Patriots game.

The ad will also air in Canada on September 8 during CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, as well as be featured in other cable and network television slots and print newspapers in the U.S. and Canada.

AdWeek reported that Fidelity is co-sponsoring McCartney's 11-week tour, which will begin on September 16 in Miami.

"We have a lot in common - a commitment to helping people, a dedication to the arts, and a belief that you should never stop doing what you love," said Paul McCartney, in the release.

"People continue to be inspired by how [McCartney] approaches life -- with confidence, innovation and a long-term view. He's the perfect partner for Fidelity to help investors transition to the next chapter in their lives," said Robert Reynolds, vice chairman of Fidelity, in a statement.

In the past, Fidelity has used celebs such as Lily Tomlin and Don Rickles in the late 1990s, according to the Boston Globe. They appeared in ads with former Magellan manager Peter Lynch.
