Federated Investors has bolstered its fixed income lineup with a new offering, the Federated Intermediate Government/Corporate Fund.

The fund's managers will invest the fund primarily in government securities and investment-grade corporate bonds. The fund will be benchmarked against the Lehman Intermediate Government/Credit Index.

The fund will be offered in Institutional Shares with an expense ratio of 30 basis points and Institutional Class Shares with an expense ratio of 55 basis points, according to the funds' prospectuses.

Christopher Smith, vice president, will be the lead manager on the fund, assisted by John T. Gentry, an assistant vice president at Federated.
