Yesterday, Reid Harrell, CEO of Argent Trust Company, confirmed that Tom Stringfellow has joined the firm as chief investment strategist. Argent Trust Company is part of Ruston, Louisiana-based Argent Financial Group.

San Antonio-based Stringfellow most recently served as president and chief investment officer of Frost Investment Advisors before retiring back in February.

At Argent, Harrell lauds Stringfellow as "one of the most experienced and well-regarded investment professionals in our industry," noting that the new hire "will be a key member" of Argent's leadership team. John McCollumn, CIO at Argent Financial Group, adds praises for Stringfellow's "tremendous level of experience and investing expertise."

"Tom's expertise, backed up by decades of experience managing billions of dollars, adds a new level to our investment management services," states Sam Boldrick, senior vice president and director of fixed income at Argent Trust Company.

"With a 31-year legacy of outstanding service to wealth management clients, focusing on respect as well as results, Argent is renowned in my industry and I am thrilled to be a member of this great company," Stringfellow states.

Stringfellow joined Frost Bank 41 years ago, and he led Frost Investment Advisors for 13 years after it launched. He is an alumnus of St. Mary's University, Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, and Texas State University - San Marcos.
