Reported by Lauren Corradi

The former global head of brand and marketing insights at Seattle-based Russell Investments, Kirti Naik has left the company and now serves as chief marketing officer at Prometheum, a trading platform for cryptocurrencies.

Naik joined Russell two years ago, a few months after chief marketing officer Toby Hoden came on board.

"Kirti did leave earlier this month to pursue another opportunity," James Aber, a Russell spokesman, tells MFWire. "Tom Llewellyn, who successfully led our brand marketing efforts prior to Kirit's arrival in 2017, has re-assumed this role."

Aber clarified that Llewellyn will also continue to oversee content marketing.

"Given the importance that content plays in driving brand identity, we felt it made sense to combine these teams under Tom's leadership," Aber says.

Naik has served as a board director of Financial Communications Society since 2013, in addition to serving as director of the advisory board for Emerging Market Media and board of director, vp of marketing for Fly a Kite Foundation.

A Rutgers alumna, Naik worked at Russell for two years before moving to Prometheum. Prior, she served as a marketing strategy consultant at Manifesto. Before that she was the global head of brand and advertising at OppenheimerFunds. She also served various roles at Citibank, InterfaceFLOR, and John Robert Powers in the earlier years of her professional career.

Llewelyn, a 13-year Russell veteran, is an alumnus of the University of Washington.
