Vanguard has landed four slots on Learning Quest, Kansas' 529 plan.

The Vangaurd 500 Index Portfolio, Total Growth Index Portfolio, Balanced Index Portfolio and Total Bond Market Index Portfolio will be available to investors on March 31.

Kansas State Treasurer Lynn Jenkins announced lauded the low cost of the Vanguard funds: "The new options … offer investors lower cost index options in addition to investment choices currently available through Learning Quest."

American Century Investments is the program manager. Kansas also offers two other 529 plans through Charles Schwab.
