Putnam Investments has launched a rare mainstream advertising campaign putting the spotlight on the company's founder, George Putnam.

The campaign, which includes spots on television, radio and print, also highlights a range of topics, from their funds' performance and investor service to the importance of advisors and asset allocation.

The television ad campaign began on March 7 and will run through mid-April CNBC, Fox News, CNN, Bloomberg, ESPN. The ads will also run during weekend shows Face the Nation, This Week, and Fox News Sunday.

The radio ads are being aired on National Public Radio.
