The appointment took effect on June 1.

"There's technology in the historic way as information technology, and there's using technology in a modern way to transform a company. In driving digital, we're going to use the first to drive the second," Boehm tells MFWire. Boehm describes his "three-prong approach" to tech, in which he hopes to improve data collection and analysis, modernize Barings' app software, and use tech services to operate more widely and reliably around the world.

"The bottom line is technology isn’t about blinking lights, it's really about thinking about the way you engage with your customers and your teammates using digital tools," Boehm tells MFWire. "The work we're getting ready to do with both our customers and our teammates is to ensure technology will be faster, smarter, and be more nimble in an environment that’s constantly changing."

In addition to his role at AvidXchange, Boehm's over twenty years of experience in technology and financial services includes positions at eBay, First Data, Wells Fargo, Wachoiva, and Visa. He earned his undergraduate degree in management, marketing from James Madison University and his MBA in information systems from George Mason University.
