Whitebox Advisors [profile], the hedge fund run by Andrew Redleaf, is launching its second mutual fund, a long-short equity product, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

The Whitebox Long Short Equity Fund will be publicly offered to investors starting Nov. 12 and be run by PMs including Jason Cross, Paul Karos and Kurt Winters. Whitebox filed in August to launch the fund.

The firm started its first mutual fund, Whitebox Tactical Opportunities, in December 2011.
