The Mutual Fund Education Alliance is using social media to help those involved in the industry stay connected during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

The MFEA is working with the Small Funds Network and the Closed-End Fund Association to use twitter to communicate. The Twitter handle @fundchatS and the hashtag #FundResponse are being used to hurricane updates. Read the MFEA statement below.

Due to the major impact of the Hurricane on our industry and its shareholders, the MFEA has established a Twitter feed to enable fund industry professionals to rapidly communicate on their efforts to respond. We also encourage providers of third-party services that are critical to our industry to get out help links and information that can speed up the flow of vital information and aid in recovery.

Our thoughts and best wishes are with our colleagues who are greatly affected by these recent events.
