Invesco [profile] has a new head of retail sales, a spokesman confirmed to the MFWire.com. Peter Gallagher will replace the departing John Cooper, a Van Kampen alum.

Cooper's departure is part of a larger reorganization at the firm, with U.S. retail sales, marketing, product management and Invesco global ETFs being unified under the U.S. retail distribution umbrella. Andrew Schlossberg will head all of retail distribution.

Gallagher will report to Schlossberg.
