Neuberger Plays PM Musical Chairs

Neuberger Berman Group LLC [profile] has appointed Eli Salzmann as manager for the Neuberger Berman Partners Fund and the Neuberger Berman AMT Partners Portfolio, effective immediately. Salzmann, who joined the firm earlier this year from Lord, Abbett & Co. to PM the firm's U.S. large cap value equity strategies, will continue to manage the Neuberger Berman Large Cap Value Fund and its fundamental Large Cap Value strategy for institutional clients.

Neuberger also appointed Michael Greene PM of the Neuberger Berman Regency Fund, the Neuberger Berman AMT Regency Portfolio, and associated sub-advised accounts, effective immediately. Greene currently serves as managing director and PM within The Greene Group, one of over 40 investment teams within Neuberger Berman.

S. Basu Mullick, managing director and formerly PM of the Partners and Regency funds, and his team, are pursuing other opportunities, according to the firm.
NEUBERGER BERMAN APPOINTS ELI SALZMANN MANAGER OF PARTNERS FUND

Michael Greene to Manage Regency Fund NEW YORK, December 9, 2011 – Neuberger Berman Group LLC, one of the world’s leading employee-owned money managers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eli M. Salzmann as manager for the Neuberger Berman Partners Fund (tickers: NPNAX, NPNCX, NBPIX, NPRTX, NBPTX, NBPBX, NPNRX) and the Neuberger Berman AMT Partners Portfolio, effective immediately.

Mr. Salzmann, 47, who joined the firm in January 2011 as a managing director and portfolio manager specializing in U.S. large cap value equity strategies, will continue to manage the Neuberger Berman Large Cap Value Fund (tickers: NVAAX, NVACX, NLRLX) and our fundamental Large Cap Value strategy for institutional clients. In total, Mr. Salzmann will manage over $2.2 billion in assets for institutional and individual investors.

Mid Cap Value
Additionally, Michael C. Greene has been appointed manager of the Neuberger Berman Regency Fund (tickers: NBRAX, NBRCX, NBRTX, NBRVX, NBREX, NBRRX), the Neuberger Berman AMT Regency Portfolio, and associated sub-advised accounts, effective immediately.

Mr. Greene, 52, is managing director and portfolio manager within The Greene Group, one of over 40 distinct investment teams within Neuberger Berman. Including the new portfolio management duties, Mr. Greene and his colleagues will manage over $2.4 billion across mid, small, and all cap value strategies using their intrinsic value approach. “Michael and his team provide significant depth of research and experience in the mid-cap space,” Mr. Amato said, “We are pleased to make their strategy available to the broader marketplace.”
