Gannett Welsh & Kotler, LLC has named two portfolio managers –- Mary Kane, and Jeffrey Thibault -- as partners. The firm also named its director of private client services, as principal.

Kane is the lead PM for GW&K’s Taxable Fixed Income Strategies and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Prior to joining GW&K in 2005, she was a managing director and PM with Fortis Investments and a PM with Invesco. Thibault serves as the lead PM for GW&K’s Small Cap and Small/Mid Cap Equity Strategies, directs the firm’s research on small and mid cap stocks, and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Prior to joining GW&K in 2004, he worked for BNY Asset Management as an analyst on the firm’s Small Cap Growth investment team.

McCarthy is a relationship manager and is also a member of the firm’s investment committee. Prior to joining GW&K in 2003, he was a portfolio analyst at Putnam Investments.

“Mary and Jeff have contributed greatly to some of GW&K’s fastest growing and most successful strategies, while Jim has been instrumental in creating a new service structure and setting high standards for our private client business,” stated Harold Kotler, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of GW&K.

The firm's three mutual funds include the GW&K Small Cap Equity Fund, GW&K Municipal Bond Fund and the GW&K Municipal Enhanced Yield Fund.
