AllianceBernstein just created a new post, head of U.S. retail, and filled it with an executive from its London office. A company spokesman confirmed that Harold Hughes, head of the firm's private client operation in London, will take over the new role. Meanwhile, national sales manager Brian Gallary is moving on to a different role within AllianceBernstein.

"His [Gallary's] current position will be folded into a larger position, head of U.S. retail [i.e. Hughes' new post]," the spokesman told the MFWire.

The spokesman confirmed that Gallary will now serve as head of U.S. sub-advisory sales.
