Four of the top leaders at a California mutual fund firm are passing the reins within the next year and a half.

a host of upcoming leadership changes at the San Francisco-based asset manager. Chief among those is the planned exit of Pohl himself.
Pohl, age 63, is expected to retire on June 30, 2022 "to pursue personal interests." Emery, age 59, will succeed Pohl as chairman next spring. David Hoeft
, age 53, who currently serves as senior vice president and associate CIO, will succeed Pohl as CIO on January 1 of next year.
, age 62, who serves as senior vice president and director of research, is expected to retire on December 31. On April 1, Cameron will pass the director of research job to Steven Voorhis
, age 50, who currently serves as vice president and associate director of research.
, age 60, who served as chief technology officer, will retire over the next year. He passed the reins to Monica Khurana
, age 49, who served as associate CTO.
, age 60, who serves as vice president and director of the private client group, is expected to retire on December 31. She is passing the reins to 58-year-old Eric Warner
, vice president and co-director of the private client group.
41-year-old Hallie Marshall
has been promoted to director of equity client service, and 47-year-old Katie Fast
has been promoted to director of fixed income client service.
Cameron will also leave the firm's U.S. equity investment committee on December 31 of this year, and Pohl will leave it on June 30 of next year. 43-year-old Karim Fakhry
, global industry analyst, joined the committee last Friday.
Pohl will also leave the firm's international equity investment and global equity investment committees on May 1. 41-year-old Paritosh Somani

, global industry analyst, will rejoin the global equity investment committee on May 1.
, age 46, has joined Dodge & Cox's business strategy committee. She serves as vice president and associate director of fixed income.
Pohl joined Dodge & Cox in 1984. He rose
to co-president in 2010, and he took over
as chairman in 2013. Earlier on, he worked at Wells Fargo Investment Advisors. He is an alumnus twice over of the University of Chicago.
Emery joined Dodge & Cox in 1983. She rose to co-president in 2010 alongside Pohl, and in 2013 she became president and CEO. She is an alumna of Stanford.
Hoeft joined Dodge & Cox in 1993, after consulting in the energy industry. He rose
to SVP and joined the firm's board in 2011. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago.
After a brief pre-grad school stint at Dodge & Cox, Cameron rejoined the firm in 1983. He rose to SVP in 2011. He is an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and of UC Davis.
Voorhis joined Dodge & Cox in 1996 after grad school and working at Goldman Sachs. he is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and of Stanford.
Kardek joined the firm in 2005 after serving in similar roles at Bank One, Merrill Lynch, and Standish Mellon. He attended Southern New Hampshire University.
Khurana joined Dodge & Cox in 2017 after serving in similar roles at RS, Cornerstone Research, and MUFG. She also worked at MNM Partners, BGI, CareCore, and HP. She is an alumna of the University of Missouri-Columbia and the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar.
Poole joined the firm in 1987 after grad school and working at Sutro. She is an alumna of UCLA's Anderson School of Management and of Stanford.
Warner joined Dodge & Cox in 2005 after founding Telegraph Hill Investment Counsel and working with Mellon and Charles Schwab. He is an alumnus of Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and of the University of Delaware.
Marshall worked at Wells Fargo before joining Dodge & Cox. She is an alumna of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and of Princeton University.
Fast joined Dodge & Cox in 2003 after working at RCM, Fidelity, and Bloomberg. She is an alumna of Boston College.
