Week In Preview, July 17-23

News summary by MFWire's editors

This week KPAs and other 401(k) industry insiders are gathering in our nation's capital.

Tomorrow Brian Graff and his NAPA (National Association of Plan Advisors) will kick off their 2017 NAPA D.C. Fly-In Forum, bringing 401(k) plan advisors (KPAs) and their allies to Washington, D.C. The two-day event, which will be held at the Washington Court Hotel, has the theme "Engage" and is all about connecting KPAs with regulators, legislators and their staff, and other Washington insiders, so that those KPAs can gain insight and make their voices heard.

American Retirement Association
CEO

U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Maryland), Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor Tim Hauser, Fox Business anchor Trish Regan (of "The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan), and Representative Pete Roskam (R-Illinois) are all scheduled to speak at the event. Attendance is limited to KPAs who are NAPA members and meet certain minimum requirements: at least $100 million in plan assets, 10 plans, 2,000 participants, and five years of KPA experience. Though there is a process for experienced KPAs to bring along junior KPAs.

Sponsors of the event include: Allianz Global Investors, American Century Investments, Capital Group's American Funds, Columbia Threadneedle, Franklin Templeton, John Hancock Retirement Plan Services, LPL, MFS, Nationwide, Nuveen, OneAmerica, and OppenheimerFunds
