A 3,000-Advisor B-D Promotes a Key Fund Ally

Reported by Ashley McHugh-Chiappone

New year, new position for fundsters' key contact at Cambridge Investment Group.

Pete Dollive
Cambridge Investment Group
Semi-Retired First Vice President, Due Diligence
Iowa-native Todd Van Pelt has been promoted to vice president of due diligence and product services, reporting to Dan Sullivan, the independent broker-dealer's senior vice president of marketing. Van Pelt succeeds Pete Dollive, who is now semi-retired. Van Pelt continues to lead Cambridge's due diligence for mutual funds and a host of other products.

"I saw a great opportunity in Cambridge," Van Pelt tells MFWire about his decision to join the company roughly seven years ago, following his completion of the CFA.

In his new role, he is responsible for making all products Cambridge offers available for advisors to use. Van Pelt started out as an assistant relationship manager in the commercial division at Cambridge before getting promoted to his last position, assistant vice president of due diligence and product services. Prior to working with Cambridge, he served as an assistant relationship manager in the commercial division at US Bank.

In addition to his new position, Van Pelt is also serving a 3-year term as a member of the board of directors at Investment Program Association (IPA), self-described as "leading voice on critical legislative and regulatory issues affecting the direct investments industry."

Headquartered in Fairfield, Iowa, Cambridge Investment Group is a financial services firm with broker-dealer and RIA capabilities. More than 3,000 independent FAs align with Cambridge.
