Tonight the Kansas City, Missouri-based Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) will hold its 2016 STAR Awards celebration and dinner at the Mid America Club in downtown Chicago. And before that, fundsters will gather at the club this morning for the MFEA's Marketing Council conference.

Meanwhile, today in Boston the Money Management Institute (MMI) is kicking off its two-day Fall Solutions Conferece at the Westin Copley Place in Boston.

The awards, sponsored by IMPRINT, honor firms of various sizes for "excellence in fund marketing communications" to retail investors, advisors, retirement plan participants, and retirement plan sponsors. Kearney; Brendan Clark, president of Clark Capital Management Group; Tim Clift, executive vice president and chief investment strategist at Envestnet; Gary DeMoss, director of Invesco Consulting [profile]; Michael Foy, director of the wealth management practice at JD Power; Brennan Hawken, senior equity research analyst at UBS Investment Bank; Mike Keenan, senior managing director of national accounts at MFS Investment Management [profile]; Patty Loepker, head of research directed advisory programs at Wells Fargo Advisors and co-chair of the conference; Jill Mavro, head of the strategic relationship group at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA [profile]) and co-chair of the conference; Bailey McCann, financial journalist and author; Tom Morelli, vice president and head of broker-dealer at T.
