After Buying a Client, an Ex-Subadvisor Hires a Sales and Marketing Chief

Reported by Tommy Fernandez

After every adoption comes the babysitter.

Three months after acquiring all of the equity interests of client Drexel Hamilton Investment Partners, LLC and adopting the Drexel Hamilton Mutual Funds it formerly sub advised, Centre Asset Management has hired a director and head of U.S. sales and marketing.

David Tucker, previously vice president at Advisory Research Investment Management, will be responsible for, among other things, the sales and promotion of the recently-adopted Drexel Hamilton Centre American Equity Fund, the Drexel Hamilton Centre Global Equity Fund and the Drexel Hamilton Multi-Asset Real Return Fund.

More about the adoption can be read from the SEC filing and the proxy statement.

Before working at Advisory Research, Tucker had served as a regional vice president at Grubb & Ellis Alesco Global Advisors, and before that, a regional sales director at the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America/RS Investments.

He has also served as a vice president, regional investment specialist at ING Investment Management, a senior managed account specialist at Alliance Capital Management/Regent Investor Services, and senior marketing rep-internal wholesaler at Northstar Investment Management/Reliastar Financial.
