The exodus in the mutual fund press continues.
In the past two months,
Money Management Executive, a
SourceMedia publication has lost its two most-senior staffers: former editorial director Tom Steinert-Threlkeld and editor Hung Tran.
With over 20-years in the industry, Steinert-Threlkeld, popularly known as TST, had held a variety of roles at SourceMedia. In addition to serving as editorial director of
MME, TST was also editorial director of
Investment Management Mandate Pipeline, and also served as editor in chief of two other publications:
Securities Technology Monitor and
Traders magazine.
He left SourceMedia roughly two months ago to join
IBT Media, part of
International Business Times, where he serves as editorial director of B2B publishing.
Meanwhile, last week, editor Hung Tran left MME as well.
With nearly 15-years experience in journalism, Tran had served at a number of financial publications before MME, including
InvestmentWires,
FINAlternatives.com,
MARHedge, and
Thomson Financial.
Tran will now be working at
IndexUniverse.
IndexUniverse also recently hired Foster Wright, former publisher at
Asset International (the parent of
PlanSponsor), to serve as director of business development.
